Macy's sued for allegedly concealing a 2008 sexual assault involving Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

A new lawsuit claims that Macy's covered up a violent 2008 sexual assault by Sean "Diddy" Combs at its flagship store in Herald Square, Manhattan, to protect a "multi-million-dollar" partnership with Combs' clothing line, Sean John. The lawsuit, one of at least six federal cases filed against the hip-hop mogul in Manhattan on Monday, names Macy's as a defendant. Filed on behalf of a "John Doe" who now resides in Ohio, the 19-page document is one of two lawsuits to also include an outside company beyond Combs' businesses. The plaintiff alleges that while working in the stockroom at Macy's, he was sexually assaulted by Combs. He was employed by Ecko, a clothing brand carried by Macy's and a competitor to Combs' Sean John label. According to the lawsuit, Combs entered the stockroom accompanied by three armed bodyguards. One or more guards allegedly struck the plaintiff—possibly pistol-whipping him—causing him to fall. The plaintiff also claims that the bodyguards threatened to kill him. Combs then allegedly demanded the plaintiff perform oral sex, addressing him by the name "Ecko." The lawsuit describes the assault as a two-minute ordeal. Following the attack, the lawsuit alleges that Combs took several items of Sean John merchandise from the stockroom, went out onto the sales floor, and handed out the products to a cheering crowd as if nothing had occurred.
