White Cane Awareness Day, Stockton CA 2024

The Stockton chapter of the National Federation of the Blind held their annual ‘White Cane Awareness’ day on Saturday which included a march down Pacific Ave. San Joaquin Lions Club members were in attendance along with County Supervisor Paul Canapa who assisted with the march and Stockton Mayor Kevin Lincoln who presented the first city proclamation written in braille. Mayor Lincoln also spoke about the city's partnership with the Stockton NFB chapter and the effort to expand employment opportunities and acceptance of the blind in the local labor market. #Stockton #NFB
