HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 14:17-24
Gen 14:17 The moment of success is always the moment of danger. The king of Sodom wants to negotiate. In him we see a picture of satan, who comes “as an angel of light” (2Co_11:14 ). Notice that Abraham alone with his 318 trained Soldiers defeated the four power kings led by Chedrolaomer, which the five kings could not defeat. One with God is majority, like David said in Psa 118:6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.

HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 14:17-24
Gen 14:18-20 Melchizedek came with bread and wine to Abram. Here comes (in the picture) the Lord Jesus with what strengthens (bread) and gives joy (wine). He handed out blessings. Abraham, we read in the letter to the Hebrews, gave Melchizedek a tenth of the spoils, thereby acknowledging him as his superior (Heb_7:4 ). Melchizedek blessed Abraham with bread and wine from his priestly office, and Abraham responded from the earthly places with what he had. Abraham became Abraham surnamed by God. This privilege is available to all of us.

HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 14:17-24
Gen 14:21-24 After this meeting came the meeting with the king of Sodom who was already on his way to him. Abram rejected the proposal made by the king of Sodom, which concealed a great deceit. He saw through the trick. He did not want anything, even the slightest, of what the world offered him, by which the world could make a claim on him. What Abram himself refused because he has seen the riches of the Lord Jesus, he did not refuse for the men who went with him. Here, Abram was seen giving glory for his victory totally to God. May this be our case always in Jesus' name.

Father, help me give all the glory for my achievements to only You in Jesus' name Rom 4:20
20 Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.

I decree in the name of Jesus, from this moment forward, I see myself the way God sees me. I am highly favoured of the Lord. I am crowned with glory and honour. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
I am reigning as a king in life through the one man Jesus Christ
