Izzo is running on the platform of lowering cost-of-living for families, securing the southern border, and eliminating sanctuary cities. In a comment with Bridge Michigan, he teased his frequent association with the legendary college basketball coach, Tom Izzo, and there is some speculation as to whether the shared name will give him a small advantage with voters.
