Wat Pa Mok Worawihan is located in Pa Mok on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. There is an old reclining Buddha image assumed to have been constructed during the Sukhothai period. The image is made of brick and mortar and covered with gold.

It is found in the royal records that King Naresuan also visited this temple to pay homage to this reclining Buddha image prior to leading the army to fight King Maha Uparacha of Burma.

A beautiful gilded reclining Buddha image is located within the compound of Wat Pa Mok Worawihan. The image nearly 23 meters from topknot to feet, believed to originate from the Sukhothai period.

According to lore, this Buddha image was swept along the river and finally sank in front of this temple. Locals recovered the massive statue, and enshrined it in the temple.

It is said that is is one of the 8 holy sites outside of the ancient city of Ayutthaya from that era. The reclining Buddha is worth a visit to see.
