Trump and Harris clash on Mideast policy in fiery election debate

Vice President Kamala Harris says Israel “has the right to defend itself,” adding “we would” if the United States were attacked.

Harris was addressing Mideast policy during a presidentoial debate with her Republican rival Donald Trump.

The vice president went on to advocate for a “two-state solution.”

As he has frequently during the campaign, Trump said the war would have never happened were he president, saying several times that Harris “hates Israel.”
