Burn: The Last Witness (part 55)

*Burn makes his way back to the New Heaven on this New Earth, knowing as he goes that Erus and his army are not too far behind. Joining him is the redhead he tried to save, the one who the Son of the High Father also died for. She knows the Son, an innocent, took her place on the Silver platform and it has rocked her very soul. For years she thought only Erus brought peace and beauty to the Darkened Earth yet now she wants to enter the new city that the Son came from. Burn takes her but stays outside as she enters. He lets her be a Witness to all in the New Heaven, lets her tell of what she saw, as he stays outside to confront Erus and his army. With no weapons, Burn only wants to be his own kind of Witness. He decides to stay out and remind this army, but especially Rayne, that an innocent did die for all of them...that only the Son, not Erus, is behind why the Darkened Earth has been made eternally new...and maybe with that reminder given he can even be the kind of Witness that brings that army peacefully into a city that does welcome all [AI Art]*
