Will a NY Judge Jail Trump Next Week? w/ Trump Impeachment Lawyer David Schoen | The StoneZONE

Nationally known criminal defense lawyer David Schoen - who successfully represented President Donald Trump in his impeachment trial before the U.S. Senate - joins Roger Stone on The StoneZONE for a discussion of the legal peril President Trump faces on September 18th, 2024, when he is to be sentenced by New York Judge Juan Merchan in the so-called "hush money" trial.

Schoen points out that while he has little doubt that Trump's conviction will be overturned on appeal and that Judge Merchan had denied three legitimate appeals to recuse himself based on the stunning conflict of interest regarding his daughter, Democrat political fundraising consultant Loren Merchan, whose clients - including the Harris-Walz campaign - have raised millions of dollars based on the case before her father.

Stone expresses his view that it is likely that the judge will order the immediate incarceration of President Trump in a blatant act of election interference. Stone also said that he believed that such a decision would be an overreach by the Democrats and would backfire badly with the American voters.

Stone and Schoen also discussed the recent decision by Florida Judge Aileen Cannon to dismiss the so-called "documents case" against President Trump, based on a finding that Special Counsel Jack Smith's appointment was unconstitutional. While Smith has appealed Judge Cannon's ruling to the 11th Circuit, Schoen - who says he believes that the ruling is entirely correct - predicted that the case would ultimately end up before the Supreme Court.

Roger Stone also spoke about his endorsement of Florida Amendment 3, which would legalize recreational marijuana consumption in the state of Florida subject to restriction and regulation by the Florida State Legislature. Stone highlighted the fact that President Trump himself has now endorsed Amendment 3 and says he will vote for the Amendment. Stone outlines the reasons why he is supporting the Amendment.

Stone also addressed the recent attack on X by Kamala Harris, who called for the shutdown of the social media giant based on her believe that "Elon Musk has lost his privileges," as well as highlighting the shocking announcement by Democrat Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz's brother, Jeff, that he is opposing the Harris-Walz ticket and supporting Trump. Stone also eviscerates new claims by the Biden Administration that the "Russians" interfered in the 2020 election and that they plan to interfere in the 2024 election.
