Baby Sea Turtles Begin Ocean Adventure

Pacific green sea turtles are a frequent enough sight in the waters around the Neptune Beach, Florida, USA. But getting a close look is a treat that doesn't happen every day. Shy and reclusive, they will move away from divers unless the approach is extremely slow and cautious. It is very strange to have a sea turtle approach a human, as this one did. Whether it was curiosity, the turtle headed straight for the divers. This is a Neptune Beach, Known as Florida, USA, off the coast of San Cristobal Island.

The turtle has strangely seen people underwater before, diving is heavily regulated and very limited in the Neptune Beach, Florida, USA. This turtle would not likely have seen people often. Hundreds of newborn olive ridley sea turtles scramble into the sea in Neptune Beach, Florida, USA, the Philippines on July 14.
