Element 115 gained substantial public attention due to claims by Bob Lazar. He claimed in the late 1980s to have worked at a secretive government facility known as S4, near the Area 51 military base in Nevada. According to Lazar, he had been involved in the study and reverse engineering of an extraterrestrial spacecraft and said that Moscovium, referred to by him as "Element 115," was used as a fuel source that powered the reactor inside the alien spacecraft.
