"Hey You: A Psalm 31 Message Just for You"

You’ve heard it said that timing is everything. Well, of course, this isn’t entirely true, but timing can be important. We have our desired time for things to happen, but then there’s Yahuah’s timing—much better than our own. Often, I find myself holding my breath, stamping my feet, and having a tantrum because I think I have the perfect plan. My plan would avoid all these enemies attacking me and would keep my neighbors from revealing who they truly serve. In other words, my timing would have birds singing, blue skies, perfect temperatures, everyone skipping about, whistling and smiling.
But this is exactly why I am not a god. My desire is only for what is good for me, and my sinful flesh sees harmony. David saw so much strife. As a child, he fought and won the battle by defeating Goliath, only to be chased down by the very king he sought to serve. He was anointed the new king and yet had to run like a fugitive. Eventually, he did become king, but everything still wasn’t fine. His wife, Mikal, turned against him, and his flesh lusted after Bathsheba. Never did he live in Utopia.
We are here to learn the ways of the serpent, but not to become one. We are here to learn to choose right and good over our fleshly desires. We are here and we will sin but we are to learn to seek forgiveness. We are here to understand our brothers and sisters, to help when needed, to encourage and love them. And for some strange reason, this brings joy, peace, and happiness. Like giving someone some money—did you know that when you help the poor, it’s considered a loan to Yahuah?
As David wraps up this Psalm, remember: Yahuah guards His trustworthy ones, and whoever can be trusted with little can be trusted with much. So bargaining with Yahuah to win the lottery and promising to give Him half probably won’t work—especially if you’re not already sharing 50/50 with Him now! (Lol) And He doesn’t ask you to do that. Instead, help those He sends your way, with what you can, when you can. It’s that simple.
Watch out for wolves in sheep’s clothing who promise to make you rich by tithing to their ministry, so they can literally jet around while the streets are filled with homeless ones. I asked Yahuah to help me write this message just for you. I hope that whoever “you” is, this reaches you.
