Kursk Russia: Ukraine takes over Russian gas supply hub to Europe

The 99th Battalion of the 61st Motorized Infantry Brigade took part in the liberation of the city of Sudzha, the Akhmat special forces and units of the Russian Armed Forces fled and left the city. There are no intense firefights, apparently Putin's troops have retreated far. Now, finally, the meter on the gas pipeline is under reliable control. This is the first video when a specific unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine declared participation in the liberation mission and showed control over the district center of Sudzha during the August offensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Sudzha is the last operational trans-shipping point for Russian natural gas to Europe via Ukraine: the Urengoy–Pomary–Uzhhorod pipeline carried about 14.65 billion cubic meters of gas in 2023, or about half of Russia's natural gas exports to Europe.
