"Zotz!" is an American fantasy comedy film released in 1962, directed by William Castle. The plot follows Professor Jonathan Jones, a scholar of ancient languages who discovers an amulet with extraordinary powers. The amulet grants him the ability to inflict pain, slow down time, and even kill with the utterance of the word "Zotz!" As word of the amulet's power spreads, both government agencies and enemy spies pursue Jones, leading to a series of comedic and chaotic situations. The film stars Tom Poston as Professor Jones, Julia Meade as Professor Maggie Bell, and Jim Backus as Dean Joshua Updike.
