Walmart Shoplifting Couple Goes Nuts When Caught

On April 14th, 2023, an officer responded to a retail theft. Dispatch advised that store employees had caught a male and a female shoplifting multiple cosmetics items and keeping them in one of their personal bags, as seen on their CCTV cameras. Upon arriving at the scene, the officer located the suspects and prevented them from leaving the area. The couple continued to behave erratically even after being cuffed. Shortly after, one of the officers found a gun in the couple’s truck. Soon, one of the officers took away the female and Mirandized her. The male began complaining about his cuffs being too tight and that he was in severe pain. Meanwhile, the medics arrived to check up on the male’s injury. The officers brought the suspect’s dog to the female. The officer tried explaining the situation to the female. The male was charged with resisting arrest, retail theft and aggravated assault on a peace officer while the female was charged with resisting arrest and was released with a ban sheet.
