Village Board Meetings are held twice a month – 1st and 3rd Monday at 6:30 p.m., at the new Dolton Village Hall, 14122 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Dolton, IL. There is time for citizens’ address at the end of each meeting (3 minutes). Come out to see the Mayor, clerk, trustees and various department heads and learn more about what is happening in the Village of Dolton.

Night 2 speakers: Among the speakers that took the stage Tuesday night were South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. DeSantis spent most of his speech criticizing Democrats’ policies on immigration, education and gender identity. Haley was met with cheers and boos, and threw a ‘strong endorsement’ behind Trump.
Vance
in the spotlight: JD Vance, Trump’s VP pick, is all over the convention hall, from Trump-Vance T-shirts to Trump-Vance campaign signs. As is tradition for vice presidential picks, he is expected to take the stage on Wednesday night.

Latest on the assassination attempt: Officials are trying to figure out how an armed man was able to get to the top of a building and shoot Trump during Saturday’s rally in Pennsylvania. One person was killed in that shooting.
