Florida 19-year-old kills parents, shoots deputy before being killed

19-year-old kills his father, executes his mother in front of responding deputies, and shoots a deputy before dying in a shootout

Sheriff’s office received a call just after 11pm on Saturday from Rebecca Ann Themelis, 48, reporting her husband, Christos Byron Themelis, 51, had been shot

More gunshots were heard during the call, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office

Deputies arrived at the home to find the suspect, Christos Alexander Themelis, 19, and his mother, Rebecca, outside

Seconds after begging the suspect to 'stop reaching into your waistband,' ---- the suspect shot his mother in the back of the head and then opened fire on the officers, injuring one deputy

The Deputy is now in stable condition, and had surgery on Sunday to remove the bullet and insert a rod into his leg to help regrow the tibia.
