This is the heartwarming moment a grandmother screams with joy on a rollercoaster after being taken on a surprise trip to Disneyland to celebrate beating cancer. Vicki Langfield, 68, from Newberg, Oregon, was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in November 2016 and her family had to plead with her to go through chemotherapy.

After months of intense chemo and three operations, she was given the all clear by doctors in July 2017 but was left feeling weak and exhausted. In an attempt to lift her spirits, daughter Valerie O’Hara surprised her with a trip to Disneyland booked for April 2018 - giving her the hope she needed to get her on her feet again.

Valerie, from Manteca, California, was left stunned watching her mom’s new lease of life at the magical theme park - riding roller coasters and having her photos taken with all her favorite characters.

It seems that the shot of adrenaline and all those ups and downs and sharp turns really did wonders on Vicki’s mood, seeing how she laughs her heart out and enjoys the beautiful day with the people she loves the most on the happiest place on Earth. We can kind of tell she is nervous before the first descent, talking to someone behind her. But when the ride accelerates with the G-force, Vicki’s face lights up, leaving her worries and exhaustion behind her. What a day.

Congrats to Vicki and we really hope she had a splendid time!
