Dad Throws His 7yo Son To His Death From Road Bridge

A divorced father is suspected of killing his seven-year-old son by chucking him from a bridge onto the road below where he was crushed to death by oncoming traffic.

The 32-year-old dad is accused of throwing the tragic youngster to his death from a pedestrian overpass with the boy plummeting down to the busy road in the Jiulongpo district of the city of Chongqing, in Sichuan province, southern China.

Police rushed to the scene on Sunday evening, discovering the child’s mangled body in the road underneath the busy Yuanjiagang flyover, the boy was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.

A video shows the aftermath of the tragedy, with the man, identified only as Jiang, currently in police custody as they continue to investigate amidst claims the youngster was unwell and his father could not afford the cost of healthcare.

In the camera phone footage one unnamed witness could be heard saying: "The child was thrown from the flyover. The boy was sick and his father couldn’t afford the treatment."

Relatives of the father, originally from Pujiang county in Sichuan, said he had been acting "abnormally" since his divorce from the boy’s mother in November last year.

He had travelled by bus from Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, to nearby Chongqing, allegedly killing the child soon after they got off.
