Sweden Can Host NATO Nuclear Weapons In "Wartime", PM Says Invoking "Russian Attack On Ukraine"

Sweden has offered to host nuclear weapons during wartime amid calls for the new NATO member to ban their deployment. Swedish PM Ulf Kristersson said he was open to allowing nuclear weapons on Swedish soil in wartime. Sweden's parliament is set to vote on a Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA) with the US in June. Swedish Peace and Arbitration Association has demanded the government to mention in the DCA agreement that Sweden will not allow nukes on its soil. However, PM Kristersson said "in a war situation it's a completely different matter, (it) would depend entirely on what would happen”.
