Though I’ve never had a hard time getting attention, what it lacked was always perception; those who see me don’t know me. When I saw Trevor busy with his bluetooth, rushing about the street, eyes passing over me like a shining object. That was when I set my sights on him. He’d notice me. Want me. Need me. Invest in a future. Then I’d bring it all crashing down like a child with a Jenga set.
