Visitors pay tribute to MLK 50 years after his assassination

Visitors paid tribute to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis where he was assassinated 50 years ago today.

In the video, visitors are seen paying tribute to Dr. King at the motel where he was assassinated. Footage of Room 306, where Dr. King was staying, is also seen.

“With thoughts on the past and eyes to the future, thousands marched and sang civil rights songs Wednesday to honor the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., the ‘apostle of nonviolence’ silenced by an assassin 50 years ago,” The Associated Press reported.
