Giant Inflatable Russian Doll Flies Off In Strong Winds

This is the bizarre moment a giant inflatable Russian doll was blown from the top of a shopping centre and nearly hit a man in a car park.

The dashcam of an eyewitnesses caught the action as the five-metre (16.4-foot) 'matryoshka doll' flew across the sky and landed in the car park.

It almost hit a man who was standing behind a SUV car while several shopping centre employees can be seen chasing after the huge inflatable.

The giant red and green doll had been moored by rope to a shopping centre in the city of Bratsk in south-central Russia's Irkutsk Oblast region.

But the rope broke in strong winds giving witnesses the unexpected sight of the huge promotional doll flying through the air.

Nobody was injured in the incident but the footage is proving popular with viewers after it was shared on social media.

Netizen ‘Elena Andreeva’ said: "Thank God, it wasn’t something else", ‘Antone Tarasov’ commented: "Hahahaha", while ‘Ts’ added: "Russian nesting doll – it does not make much sense but it is definitely ruthless."

Russian dolls, also known as a matryoshka or nesting dolls, are wooden dolls of decreasing size which can be placed one inside the other.
