For this list, we make a list of huge plot twists that filmmakers for audiences to discover, but went right over the heads of most cinemagoers. Considering the nature of it, consider yourselves warned for possible spoilers!

We start with the remake of the classic “21 Jump Street”, with the drug that tastes like cool ranch Doritos. When they go to investigate a new designer drug at a highschool our two protagonists have to taste it before the main dealer. They comment on how it tastes like, but afterwards go in the toilet to throw the drug out. When they meet with the coach afterwards, they find him eating Doritos Cool Ranch. Did you catch that one?

The twist of 1995’s “The Usual Suspects” is notorious by now. In the end, we find out that Roger “Verbal” Kint is actually Keyser Söze, the villain he testifies against the entire movie,. It is considered to be one of the best twist endings of all time. At the beginning of the film, we see Keyser Söze use a gold lighter and look at a gold watch. When Verbal is released from jail and collects his belongings, they include that same watch and lighter. Sneaky, huh?

We follow up with a superhero movie twist. Superhero movies aren’t known for their subtlety, but Christopher Nolan isn’t your typical movie maker. While the film focuses on Bane as the chief antagonist, in the end it turns out that Miranda, who ends up Bruce Wayne’s love interest, is the villain all along. It becomes evident when Bruce, after a passionate love making scene, discovers a scar on Miranda’s back. Bane has similar scars on his head, evidently linking the two together.
