If there is one thing for sure, it’s that you don’t witness these kinds of things every day, if at all. A police officer let a motorbike rider know he was a very safe driver before bellowing out praise for his vehicle on a freeway. As David Macdonald rode through Culver City and El Segundo, California on March 16, on his Ducati Monster 796, he experienced a traffic stop with a difference.

Usually when someone thinks of motorbikes they think of speed and reckless driving but that isn’t always the case. Driving a motorbike is so much more than just the speed. It’s about feeling the wind blow while you drive through the streets, about experiencing the ride firsthand and not being surrounded by metal and glass. It’s a truly unique feeling.

When the police officer whistled at David, he thought that he’d done something wrong. He was trying to be very careful while driving, but he couldn’t think of another explanation why the police would flag him down. This is why it came as a big surprise that he would be told that he is a very safe driver. The police officer made sure to tell him that he noticed all of the little things David did to be an active and safe participant in traffic. However, David definitely wasn’t expecting the cop car to follow him on the highway and praise his ride through the loud speaker. It sure made his day!
