Following the lives of eight very different couples in dealing with their love lives in various loosely interrelated tales all set during a frantic month before Christmas in London, ‘Love Actually’ is one of the most romantic comedy movies you can use for a proposal. If you are a video editor like this guy in the video.

His idea of proposing to his girlfriend while watching her favorite movie is brilliant and unparalleled to any ‘proposal videos’ you have seen before. Allan Hughes, a video editor, decides to use his skills to make the perfect proposal to his girlfriend Maria Quynh by editing himself into the film. Using her favorite film Love Actually, he puts himself into the iconic doorway scene where Mark (Andrew Lincoln) professes his love to Juliet (Keira Knightley) with a set of cards.

The video starts with the scene where Juliet and Peter are watching a film when suddenly somebody rings at the door. No sooner she opens the door we are taken into another, totally new scene with the star in this video. Allan has recreated the scene to perfection by having written down their love story and how it has developed throughout their four-year-relationship. Maria is speechless at first, but soon bursts into tears of happiness and says ‘yes’.

He even has her family involved in the recreation and somehow manages to catch the whole thing on film and when her family comes into the shot, she covers her face and breaks out into tears.

His idea is nothing but original, sharp-witted and ingenious and it mat be a great inspiration for any future proposals.
