Doctors frequently prescribe exercise as a way to reduce patient's risk for type 2 diabetes. UPI reports that a new study shows the type of exercise you're doing matters. In the study people between ages 55 and 75 with prediabetes who used resistance training along with aerobic routines, lowered their type 2 diabetes risk by 74 percent compared to a control group. Those who only did aerobic exercise saw a 65 percent decrease in risk.
