Wednesday of Holy Week

Jesus took a day off or was slower on certain days. On this day, Wednesday of holy week, Jesus found himself in Bethany, the home of Lazarus and his siter Mary. All the apostles were there, including the traitor Judas. Judas, who held the money for the ministry, complained when Mary cleaned Jesus’s feet with oil, saying this would be better used to feed the poor.

Judas was just a pawn working for God and of course Satan, talking to the Pharisees to sell out Jesus to them the following night.

Although there is not much written about this day in the Bible or in other scholarly writings, there is enough to show that even Jesus needed time to relax from doing miracles. He also attempted to teach the apostles about what to expect in the future as they too would be persecuted.
