US President Joe Biden has praised the wisdom of the Indian crew of the tanker, due to which the lives of many people were saved even after such a major accident.

The Indian crew aboard the tanker had alerted the Maryland Department of Transportation that they had lost control of their vessel. Local traffic personnel closed the bridge to traffic even before the ship collided with the bridge.
