An impatient cyclist was narrowly missed by a train after he climbed over a level crossing in Berkshire, England.

In the dash-cam video, captured in Wokingham, which dates from September 2017, the man throws his bike against the closed barrier, then picks it up and drops it in another place.

He then gets out a can of drink from his jacket. After taking a few gulps he picks up his bike and hurls it over the barrier and climbs over.

Dragging his bike across the railway line, the man reaches the other side with bicycle in tow moments before a South West train passes through at high speed.

Police were waiting on the other side to detain the man.
