AR-15 Owner Saws Rifle To Show Support For Gun Control

Scott Pappalardo, a devoted gun owner from New York, went viral with a video of him sawing his AR-15 in half to " make sure [his] weapon will never be able to take a life” following the school shooting in Parkland, Florida.Show more

Pappalardo, who has owned the gun for 30 years, told viewers, “I’ll be honest, it’s a lot of fun to shoot,” adding, “I’ve never killed anything with it except a bunch of targets.” After recalling the Sandy Hood shooting in 2012, he then went on to say, “I’d gladly give this gun up if it would save the life of just one child.”

Before sawing the gun in half, Pappalardo said that he hopes just one person sees the video and says, “Maybe I’ll do the same thing.”
