It doesn't take an oracle to see where this was headed when the FBI Director - whose agency was responsible to provide evidence to the WC - has already publicly announced that LHO was the "lone assassin". The WC was less a court proceeding where the jury hears from the prosecution AND the defense, and more an inquisition where the court begins with a conclusion and works backward to shoehorn the evidence into a narrative that fits the predetermined conclusion. Due to a carefully-laid trail of incriminating evidence, there was PLENTY of incriminating evidence to "satisfy the American people that Oswald was the shooter, that he did not have confederates that were still at large, and that he would have been convicted at trial had he lived".
