For all the people who wanted to make the day sweeter for kids in the hospital, here’s what that sweet gesture looks like.

Cohen had no idea how much love there is in the world until Valentine’s Day. People from all over the world sent Valentine’s cards to kids like Cohen in this children's hospital.

“It’s incredible to see that there are people outside that are thinking about us and want to spend their time to send a little note to us just to say that they are thinking of us,” says Cohen’s mother.

The hospital usually averages 1,000 Valentine’s Day cards per year. But a viral post meant that the hospital got more than 200,000! The post that initiated this avalanche of love was placed on Twitter. It called to attention all the people to visit the website of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and send every child a Valentine’s Day card, for free. The reason behind it all is that these babies do not get to go on Valentine’s parties and do not exchange cards, so it would be a great chance to send some love to those who are most in need.

Letters came from as far away as Iraq, Argentina and New Zealand. And, as the twitter user successfully predicted, those letters indeed meant the world to these children, putting back the smile on their faces at least for a short while.

Sending love to children, big and small….
