Dancers in a Japanese troupe striped down to their loincloths during a performance on February 12, the last day of the Sapporo Snow Festival in Hokkaido, northern Japan. The dancers, from Hokkaido University, were celebrating the end of a festival, which sees frozen mazes and slides erected in the city, as well as snow and ice sculpting competitions. The festival finished as areas of Japan experienced heavy snowfall, with at least five deaths reported, according to Kyodo News. Toyama City recorded 52 centimetres of snow.
