Viral: Over 10m Views For Delivery Mans Piano Skills
A takeaway delivery man has shot to fame after a 10-second video of him expertly playing a piano went viral with more than 10 million views.
Jiang Changjun, 22, was delivering a meal to a client working in a museum when he spotted the piano in the lobby and received permission to play it.
The clip now going viral online was filmed by a bystander in Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in north-western China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, where Jiang has been working for food delivery giants Ele.me for just over a year.
The short video of Jiang’s rendition of "River Flows In You" by South Korean pianist Lee Ru-ma - better known as ‘Yiruma’ - shows the man dressed in full work uniform, including his helmet, with a rucksack on his back.
But it does not stop him from producing beautiful sounds, causing him to become an internet hit almost overnight, especially because few expected a takeaway food delivery man to be so expert at playing the instrument.
"Our company is hosting a year-end gala and I signed up to perform," Jiang said, adding: "But I don’t really have much time to practise piano because I’m always working."
"So when I saw the piano during a delivery, I asked whether I could play it and practised a little bit," he said.
Jiang revealed that he did just two years of piano in school.
