Residents in Perth would have noticed the moon appeared bigger than usual on January 31, when the second full moon of the month, or “blue moon,” rose over the west Australian city and the world. This video captured the scene above the city skyline on Wednesday night. On the same day, a “super blue blood moon,” a phenomenon where a second full moon coincides with a total lunar eclipse was observed. The astronomical event was last reported in Australia over 35 years ago, but had not been seen in other parts of the world for over 150, ABC reported. Credit: Karo_KK via Storyful
