The festival of fire in Scotland, also known as Up Helly Aa, saw hundreds of people dressed in Viking garb on January 30 marching through Lerwick, Shetland with burning torches. The festival is held every year on the last Tuesday of January and remembers the Vikings who sailed the seas around the Shetland islands 1,000 years ago, according to the BBC. It ends with a replica Viking longboat being set alight with torches. This video shows the warriors parading through Lerwick, carrying their torches and the longboat. Credit: emurrie91 via Storyful
