An offshore storm and unusually high tides pushed water up over Maine’s Ogunquit Beach and threatened to cause flooding in and around coastal buildings on January 30. This video was shot by Ogunquit resident Rick Barber and shows seawater washing around the Norseman Resort hotel at the edge of the beach. Water levels were expected to reach 12 feet, a half foot above the flood level, according to local reports. Minor flooding was reported in Marginal Way, about a mile south of Ogunquit Beach, and in Portland, about 32 miles north-east of the town. Credit: Rick Barber via Storyful
