Police officers in Hauser, Idaho, were forced to deal with an elk that was loitering near Highway 53 and Pleasant View Road on January 27. Michelle Janshen, who recorded the footage, saw some cars stopped and traffic semi-blocked. As she got closer, she saw Idaho State Police cars stopping traffic. According to Michelle, the police were trying to scare the elk back into the woods, but the animal just kept coming closer to the police car. The three officers present shot blanks, banged on the car hood, and rang the police siren to no avail. Michelle does not know how the incident was resolved as she had to leave the area because police wanted cars to move on. Credit: Michelle Janshen via Storyful
