WHAT IS MISSING HERE?

WHAT’S WRONG WITH WHAT’S MISSING?
An obvious strangeness which goes unchallenged … until now.

I see an ad for cyber security. In this ad are these three suspicious figures in hoodies looking over a man’s shoulder as he uses his laptop. Evil specters of cyber danger. It’s enough to worry or otherwise frighten.

I see an ad for security lighting, easily installed on your home without paying an electrician. In this ad are various bad guys sneaking up on the garage or jumping the railing on the rear porch or prying at the window with pry bars. Not meaning any good and surely focused on evil they are downright scary.

All through television advertising whenever there is a specter of evil or other ne’er-do-wells at work, there is something glaringly missing in virtually every presentation. What is that you ask?

It’s African Americans, People of Color, American Blacks, and so on. The media has become so incredibly woke and so afraid of offending a largely thin-skinned black population, one which makes up only about 12% of Americans, they defer to the Rules of Political Correctness.

Rule #1. Never, ever put a Black American in a position on television, in the movies, or in print where he could possibly be depicted as unpleasant, ignorant, or irrelevant.

Rule #2. Never, ever allow even a hint that any Black American has ever been directly involved in any acts other than those which are virtuous and of good report.

Rule #3. When in doubt as to what to do with Black Americans in the media … refer to Rules #1 and #2.
