The Mayon volcano erupted both on January 22 and January 23, sending lava into the sky and creating a four-kilometer-high ash plume over the Albay province of the Philippines, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. The uploader of this video said he was making a timelapse on the morning of January 23 when the second of the two eruptions began, with spectacular results. Credit: Benjoe Nagales Agbay via Storyful
