A heartwarming video has emerged of a 'real-life Notebook' couple who has tied the knot for the second time after husband forgot that he has been married to his wife for 34 years and popped the question, again!

Michael Joyce, 68, suffers from Alzheimer's disease and due to his chronic memory loss he is struggling to remember day-to-day events. In addition to Alzheimer’s, Michael also suffers disorientation, mood swings and aphasia, which impairs his ability to express and understand written and spoken language.

His wife Linda, 64, was incredibly touched when hopeless romantic Michael took her hand and proposed to her with tears in his eyes. Obviously, he is forgetful due to this terrible disease, but he somehow remembered that Linda was his sweetheart and knew that she is the love of his life!

The Scottish couple renewed their vows on short notice at a picturesque lake in New Zealand in front of family and friends. Music from Michael's favourite movie Forrest Gump was played at the ceremony and couple’s first dance was to traditional Scottish bagpipes playing 'Flower of Scotland'. This is the emotional moment when these two lovebirds get remarried and tie the knot for a second time!

Linda was dazzled and confused when Michael asked her to marry him, but she told him that she would be delighted to marry him with tears in her eyes! These two have recreated the plot from ‘The Notebook’ and have left us with teary eyes! True love wins everything!
