Sporting a “nasty woman” t-shirt, and standing on her mother’s shoulders, 10-year-old Samantha Jenkins was one of the stars of the 2018 Women’s March in Chicago on January 20. Samantha led the crowd in a chant which saw her asking those around her to “show me what democracy looks like”, to which the crowd responded “this is what democracy looks like.” Spotted by local media and dubbed a “total badass” by another marcher, her father Jeff said simply “when I grow up I want to be a brave, fearless, 10-year-old like my daughter.” Credit: Jeff Jenkins via Storyful
