Woman Killed in Attack at Southport Store

Merseyside Police said a murder investigation was launched following an incident at a Southport TUI store on January 13, local reports said. Officers were contacted at 1.25pm following reports that a 28-year-old woman had been injured at the TUI travel agents on Chapel Street, according to the police statement issued to local media. The woman was taken to hospital where she subsequently died from her injuries, police said, and a 30 year-old man from the Southport area was arrested on suspicion of murder.
