New Year’s Eve is a day of mixed feelings for many people. For some, it is a time to celebrate the end of the year gone by and welcome what is in store in the New Year. Others experience a sense of nostalgia as they reflect on the events that took place in their lives in the past 12 months.

We all love to spend the New Year’s Eve party in some fancy, sparkly clothing, with loads of good friends, but what about our dogs? They will probably be asleep, unless they want to party with the rest of us. While some dogs love the attention they will get from a crowd of people, others will probably prefer to welcome the new year asleep, wake up the next morning for a walk and a slobbery kiss with a hungover human. They don’t care if you were out all night partying and came back home just an hour ago!

At Lucky Puppy, a doggy daycare center in Missouri, all of the dogs were preparing for the New Year’s Eve celebrations. Most of the pups were asleep but some were awake attempting to stay up until the midnight celebrations!

What a pawty it was! We stopped counting at 20 dogs, but surely we missed a few behind a piece of furniture or a cushion somewhere! So many sweet smiles and wagging tails all THAT is how we should spend our next New Year’s party!
