The first rain in Las Vegas after 116 days of drought caused flooding at a hotel parking lot on January 9. The last rainfall in Las Vegas was on September 13, 2017, according to local news outlets. The National Weather Service said said more than one inch of rain was measured in 24 hours at Las Vegas’ McCarren Airport, which is almost half the amount of rain the area received in 2017.
