A waterfall in Cloudland Canyon State Park, northwestern Georgia, partially froze on January 4 during a cold spell which saw snow blanket areas of the state that hadn’t seen snow in decade. Forecasters said on Sunday, January 7, that more rain could be expected to fall over the Atlanta metro area the following day, possibly freezing roads in the area.
