Boston’s Seaport District saw major flooding as a powerful nor’easter battered the Massachusetts coastline on Thursday, January 4. Flood levels may have reached a historic level, the National Weather Service said. “This is getting close to coastal flooding that was observed w/ the #blizzard of 1978,” the NWS tweeted. Boston resident Virginia Pitcher recorded a clip of dumpsters floating on floodwaters on Farnsworth Street. The water also flooded Seaport Blvd. and Atlantic Avenue, according to local media.
