A rare white kiwi’s courting ritual was caught on a trail camera at the Pukaha Mount Bruce Wildlife Centre in Mount Bruce, New Zealand. The five-year-old bird, named Mapuna, uses a shrill call to attract a brown kiwi, who appears in one of the centre’s pre-release enclosures, as seen in this video released on December 28. The pair walked around each other in circles in an adorable waltz, before scampering off. Mapuna is one of three white kiwis at the reserve, NZ Herald reported.
