Temperatures dipped well below freezing and below zero in Duluth, Minnesota, on Wednesday, December 27. A record low was reported in nearby International Falls at -37 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Amy Fogarty, who appears in this video, took a pot of boiling water and tossed it into the cold air outside her home along Lake Superior. The water freezes instantly mid-air, and falls to the ground as ice. Credit: Instagram/David Fogarty via Storyful
