Cyclone Hilda hit Western Australia’s northern coast overnight from December 27 to 28. This video shows heavy rains on the Dampier Peninsula, north of the tourist town of Broome. The storm, which knocked out power for up to 2,000 people, was expected to weaken later on December 28 but the Bureau of Meteorology said rains would persist over the peninsula.
